So we took about a five month sabbatical from doing a magazine because we were just like whateves but in doing so we developed an unhealthy addiction for this , this and watching re-runs of Top Chef New York (sorry but Padma Lakshmi is hella fine). After a while we got bored and was getting sofa butt so back to work it was. During the first part of “re-launching” the magazine we thought it would be nice to change up the magazine a bit in the process.

This issue features the late great Shawn Mortensen before he passed away. We interviewed him briefly at the Iconoclast pop-up store right before his book signing of Out Of Mind and photographed him at his house. We take a walk down memory on the hard-core side of life with professional skater and East Coast Hard Core aficionado Anthony Pappalardo about his book Radio Silence documenting the Hard Core culture from the East Coast. Famed skateboard illustrator, Sean Cliver, who made the most offensive but memorable skateboard graphics ever. The guys from Broken Lizard hung out for a day in a Downtown LA alley and gave us one funny interview. The nice people at Kangol, Pony and Rasa Libre gave us insight on how they keep their brands fresh and what it takes to stay creative in such a competitive industry.

This new Vapors is the beginning to a great many things coming in the future. We hope you enjoy it and continue to grow with us as we tread water through the sea of drowning publications.
