Mark Ronson has always shown a love for music and art from a time well before his. Usually, this infatuation with the past manifest itself in the form of soul-soaked Amy Winehouse vocals, Dap-Kings horn solos, and some creative funk sampling. In the video for “Circuit Breaker”, the first single off of his much anticipated full length album, “Record Collection”, he heads to the 80s for a Zelda-inspired video that serves as the visual accompaniment to the neo-soul/breakbeat hybrid of a track. If this is a taste of things to come when the album drops in September, fans of Ronson will surely not be disappointed.

This is an insanely brilliant visual piece from French director Patrick Jean and Paris-based visual effects company One More Production. It has everything from Donkey Kong lobbing barrels from atop the Empire State building to Space Invaders descending upon unsuspecting taxis. Cameos from Tetris blocks raining down on Manhattan, Pac-Man chomping up a subway.

I always used to say that having a Rock Band drum kit in your living room was the most effective form of birth control on the planet. I was dead fucking wrong. This shit is a digital magic panty remover! Part deux doesn’t offer much more than the previous version, but the new library of songs is way better. And did I mention that I realized girls actually like playing this?
