For Fall 2010, premium footwear brand New Balance and renowned sneaker shop Undefeated have joined forces to create the New Balance x UNDFTD Sonic 574, a limited edition fleece sneaker inspired by retro sweatshirts from the 80’s.

James Bond, co-founder of Undefeated, says the “reverse weave fleece that is loved by athletes and spectators alike is the perfect canvas to showcase and celebrate the classic American history of the two brands.” The New Balance x UNDFTD Sonic 574’s upper textile is a heather grey sweatshirt material sonically bonded with the synthetic suede complete with varsity “N” detailing. Undefeated will also be launching coordinating apparel for this project.

The New Balance x Sonic 574 comes in grey and black and will be sold at Undefeated stores starting TODAY. UPDATE: The new release date for these babies is now September 18th so plan accordingly sneakerheads!

This year, UNDEFEATED teamed up with EA Sports to create an Elite UNDFTD x EA 2009 ESPY Award Military Sport Duffle Bag, which was given to 30 top athletes.  These elite duffle bags contained a hidden electronic pouch complete with PSP or PS3 that the athlete custom designed.  Over the years, UNDEFEATED has become the most stop shop for everyone with a taste of quality footwear and apparel.  Known for their relationships and limited edition collaborations with brands such as Nike, Adidas, Converse and Reebok, UNDEFEATED has left a footprint on the sneaker industry and has made a lasting impression with athletes and fans alike.

Keep an eye out for these bags on the website or at the La Brea store.  Word on the street is there are a couple left over.  No one can confirm the number or when exactly UNDEFEATED is going to release them, but keep your nose to the streets and you might find yourself a rare duffle.

Undefeated has erected a beautiful billboard of the late Shawn Mortensen above their LA retail space.  Much can be said about this dude, and believe me, much will be soon.  Stay tuned.  RIP.

The 580 Undefeated Collection features three distinct looks, all built on the 580 silhouette. The collection features camouflage linings and insert, mid-sole graphics representative of barbed wire and a tongue label imagined from the tag of a military uniform.  The collection includes three metallic colorways: gold, silver and black. Each shoe is constructed of premium perforated leather and features signature red laces and custom UNDFTD lace lock.

UNDFTD will be releasing a collaboration tee with DJ AM dubbed the Co-Op tee on Friday, November 28th, otherwise known as Black Friday this year, the day after Thanksgiving where millions of Americans head out and begin their Holiday shopping. All of the proceeds of the t-shirt will benefit Accesshelp.org.
