Building upon the strong re-launch of the 455 for spring 2009 comes the fall 2009 update of the 455. Re-introduced for the first time in more than 30 years, the 455 is an original 1979 trail shoe that has been updated with modern materials and sophisticated color blocking.

Designed and manufactured in New Balance’s factory in Flimby, England, the 455 has a three-layer lugged outsole capable of dispersing shock and offering excellent traction–a lot of bells and whistles that stem from the fact that this was an actual award-winning trail shoe more than 30 years ago. The 455 was the trail shoe of its day and today remains a classic.

The 455 features unique perforated meshs, premium suedes and leather detailing for fall 2009 and is available for both men and women in five colorways.

The New Balance 455 collection will be available at Zappos.com, NBwebexpress.com and Classic Kicks out of New York starting July 2009 and will retail between $75.00 and $100.00.

Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places is a striking new solo installation and display by the infamous London-based artist INSA.  The festivities open on July 17th in association with the Nike Sportswear IAM1 launch of the 2009 Air Maxim.  INSA’s first London show of 2009, promises to be a spectacular return.  It’s comprised of a multimedia mix of large-scale installations, canvases, photography, prints, exclusive collaboration products and a stunning animation made up of 35 frames, which were hand painted across east London in 7 days.  The Nike Sportswear IAM1 project celebrates the launch of the Air Maxim, the evolved ’87 Air Max 1 of 2009 and an all encompassing London project, that brings together Charlie Dark and the Run Dem Crew, Goldielocks, as well as visionary artist Benedict Radcliffe.
