The almighty Mexican Rob Gonzalez is this piece… (Note that Rob’s name is spelled with a z, unlike Mark Gonzales. I know adidas sponsors both, and I guess that may lead to some confusion, but c’mon—give my homeslice his props.) HVW8 will be painting a wall of 20 boards, which will be given away. And let’s not forget Jake Brown. You may also remember Jake as the guy who fell out of the sky and survived. (Check out his shoes exploding off his feet from the impact and just listen to the air come out of that stadium full of cheering fans… They all thought he was dead.)

In the future, keep an eye peeled for me and Rob G’s “Tour de Long Beach” race and article. Rob’s already talking shit on me sporting a spandex kit, but I will whoop that trick when this bike race finally happens. Quit hiding out in NY!

Derek over at Sneaker Politics sent these to me. Pretty funny, except I’ve been hit by two cars in the last three weeks on my bike. (Keep an eye out for me and LBC Rob Gonzalez’ “Tour de Long Beach” article next issue.) The car always wins in car vs bike confrontations, but when you pop someone’s helmet off with the impact while driving on the wrong side of the road, you’ve probably killed them and you’re probably looking down the barrel of a minimum of 15 years.

On another note, I’m getting sick of seeing all the articles from the Sneaker Issue displacing my mundane rants about trivial shit. You’re trampling my ego! Seriously, slow down on the posts, Vapors Staff, whoever you are! I’m the only person on staff, so who’s posting all of these stories? Is there another staff member in a computer lab in India that I don’t know about?
