Yesterday we showed you the white colorway for the Janoski, well here are the other colors and a look at the additional cork sockliner. If you’re wondering why they did a cork sockliner its because Stefan’s dad has a vineyard…get it? Wine-cork.

Nike SB saw fitting to award the second only signature model to Stefan Janoski and I don’t think anyone will argue this choice. It might have something to do with him winning two Transworld Skateboarding Awards in 2008. Yesterday they had a media day for the release here in Los Angeles at the Edison in Downtown.

The Janoski is something different for the SB line. With Nike being Nike, they designed the shoe around Stefan’s eclectic and laid back personality and it shows with the shoe’s casual silhouette (including leather laces) and minimal use of Nike technology.

The book that traces the roots of skate shoe culture is finally coming to the skate and sneakerheads of SF and LA. Prepare to see some new shoe designs that’ll be rehashing all the classics from the book!

If you’re wondering why Simi Valley is on the to-do list, it’s because they have the best skateboard memorabilia/museum around. Definitely worth seeing, and the park’s more than worth rolling around. An honorable nod to the right people.

The good people at Monsieur T curated Wood Pushers, a skate/art exhibition opening December 4^th at Hecklewood Gallery in Portland. The show features some of the dopest artists out there, including the likes of Andrew Pommier and Lance Mountain. With Nike SB and PBR sponsoring, it’s guaranteed good.

All of the artwork will be available on the Hecklewood website for the duration of the show.

These surfaced a few days back on the internet and from what I hear are super early production samples of Paul‘s third shoe on the big swoosh. Remember, he was the first skater ever to get a signature model under SB and wouldn’t have left éS otherwise. While many have noticed the slow rebirth of the early 90′s, puffier style, let’s hope we’re not headed all the way back to the D3. In obligatory cliché form, here’s a clip of Paul senior doing his thing. He never got a shoe.

Uhhhh… I’m kind of at a loss on this one.

Todd Bratrud has been an artist for Consolidated Skateboards for years. Including the whole time that Consolidated has been printing “Don’t Do It” stickers targeting Nike for its attempts to get into skateboarding. And yet here we have a Todd Bratrud SB Dunk. Seems weird.

I’m still a huge fan of Bratrud’s art, though. Cameron at Hot Rod said he’s getting a delivery of these. (The Dunks, not the old Consolidated decks.)

Some German skate heads I know (what up, Dirk) put in the time and created an amazing book about the history of skate shoes. Nike SB has decided to help push their product by sponsoring an exhibition at the Nike SB pop-up store in good ol’ Amsterdam.

But you could have read as much from the flyer.

I’ll go out on a limb and say you can expect a lot of shoe designers to trace some “new” designs from the rare historical artifacts these dudes dug up.
