Last time I spoke with Rob, back in the summer, he told me he was done with Rob & Big, but that MTV wanted to make another show with him. I have no idea what his new show is, but I got this spy photo of the set. Looks like a house/skatepark with a racecar parked to the side. (And some burnout tracks in the foreground.)
I can’t believe Dyrdek even has a show on MTV. Nor Bam and Sheckler. The skate world has certainly gotten weird, and this is why I’m a bit turned off by skating (the culture, not the act of skateboarding) lately. Not by Rob, just the whole pop culture/Dew Tour part.
Of course my boy Mark just stopped by and told me about the basketball league he’s in with Rick Howard, Guy Mariano, Kelly Bird, Eric Koston, and some other skaters, so I guess it’s fine to maintain outside interests and I should feel no guilt about not keeping up with the latest skate vids on YouTube.
Sorry, like I mentioned in an earlier post, I have a flu and I’m on Rx sizzurp.
