Looking at the later Jordans, it’s hard to believe that Jordan had some of his best seasons and craziest dunks in shoes that are essentially a pair of Nike SB Dunks… Something to consider when you look at the teched-out madness of foamposite space boots and carbon fiber weaves on later shoes. It’’s gotta be the shoes?

And with the success of Nike SB, we’re already seeing another Nike skate brand–the new CONS line from Converse–making some power moves, check ‘em in the next issue. Meanwhile the rumors about Jordan developing a skate team have proven false so far, but a little birdie mentioned to me that Jordan might try to come with a skate shoe. Time will tell.
