Words by: Preach Jacobs There hasn’t been an emcee that has grown in the eyes of the public as much as Common. Since his debut in 1992, Common (formally Common Sense) has transformed into an icon, becoming a poster-child for authentic hip-hop. Now with his eighth album, Common maintains a calm demeanor about his music [...]

Words by: Chase For musician/singer/song-writer Curumin, the world has been his ghetto blaster since he began creating music for the masses at age 7. His music has always had a distinct international flair, drawing inspiration from practically everywhere. Now on his sophmore album, JapanPopShow (JPS), Curumin feels no pressure proclaiming, “If tomorrow, I want to [...]

I drop my phone. I drop it all the damn time. I’ve managed to trick the “geniuses” at the Apple Store into thinking that my phone just died on its own three different times. What they don’t know is that I treat my phone like Ike Turner treated the fairer sex, tough but fair. No, [...]

The new Samsung Series 9 TVs are the best thing to happen to television since Baywatch. The LED backlit series fires at 120hz, features 1,000,000 to 1 dynamic contrast ratios, touch of color design and the ability to access RSS feeds. Once your society has grown, using the Spore Creature Creator you can create [...]

Traffic Skateboards There actually might be a glimmer of hope in the skateboarding industry, and it ain’t out West. If you’re looking for more picnic tables, stair counting, the same handrails and palm tree-laced blue skies, you’ve come to the wrong place. East Coast legend Ricky Oyola has compiled a team of street shredders who [...]

A Florida judge has declared unconstitutional a law banning sagging your pants. This all came to a head after a 17-year old spent a night in jail after being arrested for sagging in Riviera Beach. The area’s voters passed a law against sagging earlier this year, punishable by a $150 fine and community service.

Enough explaining. Me? I wanna start talking smack, so here it is: Y’all Don’t Hear Me Though Rock the bells was extra pungent this year… they might have to call it rock the smells next time… Anyone remember big pants little wheels? Now promptly forget it… Facebook schmacebook I say… Remember fanzines? Them shits were [...]
