Check out this first in a series of GZA tracks to be remixed by Dan Deacon. The story goes that GZA caught wind of Dan’s live show and liked it so much that he had his management personally reach out with a request to collaborate. This particular Salvador Santana remix track was specifically chosen because Dan “really liked the Vocoder lines.” Hmm. I guess autotune isn’t dead yet.
As you may know, Salvador Santana is indeed the legendary Carlos Santana’s son. Sal is being mentored in the studio by Moneymark and the GZA himself. Watch for his keyboard heavy full-length album “Keyboard City” to be released in 2010.
