Buraka Som Sistema are the Portuguese dance act that is heavily credited throughout much of the world for helping to bring attention to the kuduro scene, a highly energetic, sample based, hybrid of hip-hop, electronic, and more traditional Angolan and Portuguese sounds. They are turning the Mayan Theatre into a raging dance party on November 12th, when they perform their live set featuring MCs, dancers, live drums, and whatever else they decide to pull out that night. Their Coachella set this year was one of the best of the whole festival, expect a show just as stellar this time around.
