Past winners include DJ royalty such as Roc Raida, Q-Bert, Craze, A-Trak, and many others. This year, the winner comes from none other than New York, in the form of Harvard mathematician/party rocker, DJ Shiftee. He represents a newer breed and style of eclectic DJ that is becoming more and more pervasive throughout the culture.

Known for his geeky sense of humor, disciplined practice schedule, and creativity, Shiftee aka Sam Zornow, has crafted masterful and well thought out sets that have helped him a acquire a DJ resume that not only includes his most recent win, but also a 2007 World Supremacy DMC title and 2008 IDA World Final champ.
