Amidst the carnage in much of the clothing industry there are some beacons of light on the horizon. Often in times of despair come great ideas and healthy young brands unabashedly rising from the ashes of the “not to distant” old analog world. Yes, the street wear bubble burst, people became tired of lame overpriced tshirts, crappy fabrics and just bad design. Viva La Revolucion!!!

So as we all grow up a little bit it’s good to see brands like So Cal’s SLVDR coming into the fold (pun intended) to cater to our new and more refined tastes. Although the line is very small, there is incredible potential here.

It’s also nice to experience a brand as a blank canvas and make a purely objective decision before the merchants of hype hold court, my verdict = we have a winner. Quality materials, excellent details, classic style with a twist and a great mantra. If you hadn’t noticed there is a very interesting hybrid of style coming out of So Cal right now, preppy 60s surf inspired … That’s the vibe of SLVDR.

Check out the site and get a taste of what is hopefully the beginning of a long lasting brand.

“The SLVDR aesthetic is deeply rooted in timeless design and attention to detail. The casual Southern California lifestyle of growing up at the beach, mountains, and empty backyard pools combined with inspiration from travels around the world mix together to form the inspiration for design. Attainable luxury summarizes the brand direction in that SLVDR provides premium materials and finishes in an obtainable product.”
