My most notable run-in with the law…

A cop told me he would slap the shit out of me if I didn’t tell him my real name. My real name is Veto Money and he thought I was playing. He was like, “Dude, it’s been a long day. I’m gonna slap the shit out of you if you don’t stop playing and tell me what your name is.”

I lose control when…

When I hear certain music, like a Dilla beat that slipped past me and I haven’t heard before. It used to be like that with Sa-Ra, and Georgia Anne Muldrow, she still surprises me a lot. I get inspired by these people because they’re doing what I’d like to do.

Future projects and plans…

Hawthorne Headhunters—me and this guy named Proh Mic and a brother by the name of Cedric Norah. I’m also working on the second album and hopefully doing some stuff with Naledge of Kidz in the Hall.
