Lounging in a hot tub, eating king-size prawns after finishing the last three lines of blow with a couple of Vegas showgirls, the majesty of this collection suddenly hit me. Drifting in and out of consciousness, the hypnotic sounds of obscure disco, boogie and Latin tunes kept a satisfied smile on my dial as my two spa companions fleeced me of my remaining cash and chips. I wasn’t concerned—my mind was elsewhere.  Hours later, I awoke to the sound of splintering wood, as hotel security attempted to force their way into my room. The water in the hot tub was now near freezing, so I quickly threw on my robe and began to barricade the entrance. I wasn’t leaving before I’d caught the rest of this new Kon & Amir joint. Following a flawless mixtape rep, the dusty-fingered duo have turned their attentions to the legitimate complilation game, and this instalment covers the borough of Killa Queens.  Considering if I should grab the hotel’s plasma TV before I bounce, Venise’s “Don’t Think About It” seals the deal. Pausing at the window to check if I’d missed anything, Phillip and Lloyd remind me to “Keep On Moving,” and I take their advice, fleeing down the fire escape as the room’s door finally comes crashing down with a sickening thud. Fuck! I forgot the CD…
