this is the kind of thing that make skateboarding a joke and gimmick. I’m sure Lil Wayne couldn’t even ollie up a curve more less keep his balance on a skateboard, big ups to the founders of Supra and Kr3w for acending to new levels of domination but couldn’t you have found someone a little more true to who we are as skateboarders that represents the alternative and underground culture skateboarding started out as? Lil Wayne is basically the Mountain Dew of hip hop trying to get money out of any thing pure and putting his face on it. What would early black skaters like Gershon Mosley, Ron Allen, Ray Barbee, Stevie Williams, Marcus Mc Bride and others that got made fun of for being true to skateboarding and sticking with it when it wasn’t cool for a black person to skate think of a poser like Lil Wayne who wears it but doesn’t rep it?

I’m almost sure Supra & KR3W DID NOT pay Lil’ Wayne to wear their clothing, You shouldn’t hold a grudge against the brand or the people who buy the brand.
If Lil’ Wayne likes the brand, he has every right to wear it.and I’m sure KR3W and Supra Don’t mind getting free publicity,and capitalizing on free advertisement..
I believe in the last 2 Years, Skateboarding has gone from an underground culture to a mainstream fashion statement/fad using a skateboard as an accessory..Same thing goes for people dressing Punk.

The Skate culture is great and more light is being shed on it. Skateboarders are the new ballers as in basketball players. Many non ball players where jordan’s, Barkley’s, Pippens and so forth so I don’t see an issue with Wayne rockin Supras even if he doesnt skate. If an item is hot it will be worn. Period. I’m a ball player who embraces the skate culture. Shouts to those who really do it.
