If you’re in the West LA/Santa Monica area… Even though 9Star is a mega skate/surf/snow shop that opened a block from my old skate shop sponsor Hot Rod, they do have a perfect mini I skate sometimes, and a set of stairs you can skate inside the store. Can’t hate, they are doing their thing. And it’s definitely worth your time to see Tony Tave and Darrell Stanton skate, and maybe Mike V will rip the ramp (pretty much guaranteed) then punch something. I’ve seen enough demos to know he usually loses his temper at some point, and that’s usually pretty exciting. Then he’s totally cool to kids. It’s an odd dynamic, no doubt. Mike’s one of a kind.
